The charity I have chosen to Run for is Kidasha (www.kidasha.org ). The Kidasha team (based here in the UK as well as in Nepal) deliver fantastic projects through expert local partners. These projects support children and their families in Nepal who live in high levels of poverty and deprivation.

For over 25 years, Kidasha has been transforming lives by providing education, protection and wellbeing to the most vulnerable children. Their work creates sustainable change, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential. The photos below are examples of the work Kidasha do and the children they support.

Why Am I Running for Kidasha?
When I was 4 years old I had the amazing chance to visit Nepal. My parents took me to visit my grandparents who were living in Kathmandu at the time. They were volunteering and lived in the country for two years. The whole experience was awesome even though I was very young. My grandparents have kept their interest in Nepal going ever since and I have been fascinated by their stories about the country.

My grandad Nick got involved in Kidasha after he returned to the UK and has been the Chair of Trustees since 2015. He and my nan have visited Nepal several times since and I am amazed that the work carried out by Kidasha provides so much support for children, young people (like me), and their families and that the projects have such a major impact on so many people’s lives.
The money I will raise following my successful completion of the Madrid Marathon will go towards our projects which will:
develop further the introduce to children of a range of sports in government schools – i.e. cricket, netball, football
enable the expansion of community hubs which support youth clubs, after school clubs, and groups for members of the local community.

Join Me in Making a Difference!
Whilst I am putting in the hard training now, pounding the streets of Madrid will be made (hopefully!) a little easier knowing that your support is helping to create a brighter future for the children of Nepal. Your generosity really will change lives and bring hope to those who need it most.
Thank you for your support and hopefully your interest in the work undertaken by Kidasha will continue beyond my successful completion of this challenge.
