Has your child had a teacher that has made a lasting impact on their life? Reita Tolbert is one of those wonderful teachers that enriches the lives of her students as she works tirelessly to help them become better readers. She is currently a Reading Specialist in the Deer Valley School District and has touched the lives of countless children. Her students love going to her classroom where they are welcomed by her amazing smile that lights up the room when they arrive. Not surprisingly, Reita is more than a dedicated teacher, she is also a wonderful wife, magnificent mother, fantastic friend, and valiant fighter.
Ten years ago Reita’s colleagues presented her with boxing gloves as a sign of their support as she climbed into the ring to fight breast cancer. With the support of her friends and family, Reita dealt a knock-out blow to the cancer. Sadly, on Friday, January 30, 2015, she was told that the breast cancer had returned. This time to both lungs and her sternum. As a woman of great faith Reita, visualizes herself in the ring fighting with Jehovah (3 Hebrew brothers) beside her and her family and friends surrounding the ring cheering them on.
With your financial support, Reita can yet again enter the ring and come out with a victory. The cost of medical treatment has increased dramatically in recent years. As a result, Reita and her family are in need of assistance to help cover the cost of her upcoming surgery, hospital costs, medical tests, medications and doctor visits
