In a heartbreaking incident at Moore River, Tshering Penjor, a respected member of the Bhutanese community, tragically lost his life while attempting to rescue others from drowning. The incident occurred when Penjor noticed a woman in her 30s and two young girls struggling in the river. Without hesitation, he rushed to their aid, managing to save the children. However, during the rescue, he was swept away by the strong current and drowned. A GoFundMe campaign was launched by Arshdeep Singh to support Penjor's family, highlighting his selfless nature and the profound loss felt by his wife and 13-year-old daughter.
