Tommy's journey

Hello everyone, it's Sophie Tommys mummy. As many of you know our beautiful boy Tommy has downsyndrome and was born with very large hole in his heart. Known as a complete atrioventricular septal defect (AVSD) he's currently in hospital after receiving a surgical repair.

We're currently in London at the wonderful Great ormond Street hospital and the care so far for Tommy has been outstanding.

However, I've come to ask for some financial help. we're currently spending more than anticipated, and soon when Tommy moves over to a children's ward only one parent is eligible for accommodation. Which right now travelling backwards and forwards to Peterborough is not financially possible, but also hotels are going to be expensive.

Tommy deserves both parents to be with him. Kenny is my rock he's keeping me mentally stable, I couldn't do this without him. I don't want to do this journey without him either, (sorry trying not to cry) i truly need him by myside i can't send him home. I just wouldn't cope, i admit im struggling to cope now but he makes me feel safe and okay, im mentally exhusted, broken and emotionally lost, I've recently lost my grandad 2 weeks ago and now my little Tommy in intensive care after receiving life saving heart surgery.

I'm asking only for a small amount just to pay for accommodation for Kenny for when Tommy moves to the children's ward. But of course any extra would help pay for the cost of food and drinks as this is becoming a daily expense.

Of course any money not spent we'll spend on a day out for zack, Lucy, and Ellie because they have been so strong and patient throughout this journey a little something to give back to them would a amazing:).
