On Saturday, 20 May 2023, members of the British Guild of Agricultural Journalists (BGAJ) walked the Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise money for charity
The three peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside are among the best-known in the Yorkshire Dales.
The 25-mile fundraising circular walk – literally up hill and down dale – was undertaken by nine BGAJ members and friends with guide David Pritchard.
The help and generosity of friends, family and supporters meant we raised more than £4000 –money divided equally (less GoFundMe commission) between three farming-related charities:
BGAJ Charitable Trust (Charity no: 1025968)
The BGAJ Charitable Trust helps farm journalists, communicators and their dependents who have fallen upon hard times or into poor health.
Farming Community Network (Charity no: 1095919)
With a network of over 400 volunteers, the FCN supports farmers and farming families across England and Wales through difficult times.
RSABI (Charity no: SC009828)
Supporting people in Scottish agriculture, RSABI provides practical, emotional and financial support to those working in the farming industry.
Thank you for your support.
