N Street Village Monthly Drive
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Eliza Fox, I am a 7th grader at Westland Middle School, and I will becoming a Bat Mitzvah in February 2021.
For my Bat Mitzvah project I have decided to partner with N Street Village -- the local nonprofit that supports homeless and low income women through a variety of community and development programs. It helps women achieve stability and make meaningful gains in their housing, income, employment, mental health, physical health, and addiction recovery.
I worked with N Street Village in the past and I was impressed by their work. During this stressful time of Covid I feel their mission is even more important and would like to continue to support the N Street Village community.
Over the last few months, I have come to realize there are many people that are not as lucky as my family and I are. For my project, I have decided to do a monthly drive, collecting everyday things the women that live in N Street Village need -- such as toiletries and snacks.
Each month, I am hoping to collect a specific item from my friends, family and neighbors and I will deliver them to N Street Village. This first month, I am collecting toilet paper.
If you would like to support my efforts, but cannot physically deliver the monthly item to my house (4712 Cumberland Avenue, Chevy Chase, Maryland), I hope you might consider donating a small amount - maybe $5 or $10 to my "go fund me page".
At the end of each month, I will use the money collected to purchase the designated item and take it to N Street Village.
Thank you so much for considering supporting my project. I had hoped to be more hands-on and involved with a local non-profit but the Covid restrictions mean I have to be more careful -- but I am eager to help N Street Village and its important work.
