It is with heavy hearts that we are writing this and do not take this ask lightly.

As many of you know by now, we are expecting our baby girl this June. While we are very delighted to grow our family and bring her into this world, we are facing a very uncertain and stressful time over the next few months. We recently found out she has a congenital heart anomaly due to an unknown autoimmune syndrome / antibodies that I have.

Due to the unpredictable nature of this rare condition, I will need to travel to Vancouver to BC Women’s almost weekly for monitoring/fetal echocardiograms. I will also need to relocate to be closer to BC Women’s for a high risk delivery at 36 weeks and stay until baby is healthy enough to come home.

We are hoping to raise any amount to help offset the costs of this and relieve some stress in navigating this difficult time. We are cautiously optimistic and are holding hope in our hearts for the best outcome possible for our family.

We feel incredibly vulnerable asking for money especially given the current state of things and increasing costs of basic necessities. We are grateful for any amount possible and welcome any thoughts and prayers.
