Our Kitchen Burned. Our Community Needs Us Back.
What Happened
Last Friday (6th of February), disaster struck MyCentre.
A fire tore through MyRestaurant's kitchen, destroying the heart of our community dining hub.
Alhamdulillah, by Allah's mercy, the flames didn't reach the masjid and no one was injured.
But the damage is severe—our kitchen is gone.
The Cost to Rebuild: $200,000
Why This Matters to Our Community
For years, MyRestaurant has been more than just a place to eat. It's been:
- A gathering space where families ate together after Jumu'ah prayers
- An employment lifeline for community members who needed work
- A halal dining option in a Islamic and family friendly atmosphere
- An event hub hosting , community suhoors, and our fundraising activities
A revenue source that helps fund MyCentre's services—from MyCentre, MyPulse to IISNA World Aid Orphans in Afghanistan to our prayer facilities
Every meal served helped sustain the broader mission: supporting our community spiritually, educationally, and socially.
But we refuse to let this setback define us.
The Path Forward
We need $200,000
