Hi, We are the parents of Myla Beau Lock and we are setting up a charity in our daughters name to support families who are living with the unthinkable.

Background

In 2022 our world fell apart and we had to endure what no family ever should when Myla was diagnosed with a wilms tumor with metastasis to the lungs. Mylas strength, courage and determination was unreal not once did she complain and always had a smile. After a 2 year battle Myla sadly passed away in October 2024 which has left a huge void in our lives. Our journey highlighted the emotional and financial struggle along with the lost time of being able to spend time as a family (Myla has 5 siblings),due to constant appointments and hospital stays. Myla was very caring and always put others first and in honour of our beautiful little soldier who is our inspiration and motivation, we not only want to continue her legacy but make the dark times feel just a little brighter for families who are unfortunately having to face the harsh reality of having a child diagnosed with cancer.

Aim of the Charity

The purpose of Myla Beau Peep is not only to support children diagnosed with cancer, but to support the whole family including siblings. To offer emotional and financial support, and guidance where needed, whether thats grants for fuel, funds for hospital accommodation, family day trips and nights away, wishes/gifts to make them smile, funeral costs etc, or just someone to talk to. Funds will go directly to the families in need to ease the strain of extra worries and give opportunities to spend more precious time as a family unit and making memories.

Initial funds

We are fundraising for initial funds to assist with the Charity registration process in order to be a fully registered charity foundation, and to provide the necessary training for our trustees/volunteers such as safeguarding.

Any additional funds will be put into the donations pot for families to access.
