Please help save our small city community theatre company in Mississippi!
We need to purchase an empty building and then renovate it for our season of great community theatre productions--to share the arts in our hometown! We are Picayune-on-Stage, a community theatre founded over 35 years ago. The city government TORE DOWN the previous building that housed our theater.
With your help, we can continue to provide the quaint city of Picayune with first-rate local theatre, youth summer theatre, workshops, playwright’s gatherings, and MORE! Our past productions include Nunsense, Annie, The Sound of Music, Driving Miss Daisy, Fences, and To Kill a Mockingbird. Youth plays, which featured our area's children, include Alice in Wonderland, The Pied Piper, and Snow White. In the past 35 years, our community theatre has presented over 120 plays!
The time has come for a permanent community theater for the city of Picayune!
Please help support our local arts and a hard-working community theatre group that has given so much to the children, seniors, and all our community. Our funding drive has now begun! We may be temporarily homeless, but we haven’t given up and continue to rehearse, produce, and stage productions. Any contribution, no matter how small or large, is greatly appreciated!
