Myah’s volunteer trip to Tanzania
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Myah and I’m a year 12 student at Bishop Luffa Sixth Form. I’ve been given the opportunity of a lifetime to go to Mbeya Tanzania to spend 2 weeks working with local communities alongside the Grassroots Trust charity in July 2025.
Whilst out in Tanzania I will be participating in charity work with Grassroots, for example constructing beds for families, assisting with feeding programs, helping and leading with lessons at a Mbyen school, painting schools walls, taking the school children to the local zoo, delivering chickens and eggs or other live stock to families, helping with water filter systems and helping distribution and ultimately helping the Grassroots charity deliver its values. We will be doing work that underpins Grassroots main values; that a little can go a long way. Grassroots has worked with the community in Mbeya for over 20 years to support children out of poverty and hunger and through education. More information about Grassroots can be found on the school website: https://www.bishopluffa.org.uk/home/student-leadership/grassroots-our-whole-school-charity/
However, this amazing experience will only be possible if I am able to raise enough money to go. Therefore, I have the goal of raising £2,100 to fund my trip.
Throughout this year I have many ideas of how to raise money for this amazing opportunityI will be busking with another student who will be attending the Tanzania trip, and I plan to set up fundraising music concerts, homemade cards and crafts and other local events!
Anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated and feel free to contact me for any questions or information on events I’m running or busking times! And if you see me busking feel free to say hello!!!
Many thanks, Myah ❤️
