My Vision Trip to South Africa

Hey Everyone!!

I am so excited to have a childhood dream fulfilled!! I will be headed to Johannesburg, South Africa next month on a Vision Trip with Operation Christmas Child!! I started packing boxes when I was really young. My earliest memory with cousins as a young child. They would buy all of these really special things and then we would fill and wrap shoe boxes. I didn't understand what I was doing until I was a 7th grader. Our youth group asked us to pack a couple gifts in shoeboxes and we took a trip to the Lewisburg Central Drop off. I remember at that point being moved with compassion for these children around the world because of the experience given by our youth leaders and the local church.

I continued packing and poor Tim, our first year of marriage, he got to experience my heart in this ministry when I took my three younger siblings to fill around 100 shoeboxes in our house. He was in for an adventure to say the least. Over the past 15 years, our family has packed between 100 and 500 shoebox gifts each year with the help of family and friends. I became an OCC Drop Off Leader at the age of 24 and have been an Area Coordinator for the ministry for 6 plus years. This year, I was selected to attend a Vision Trip where I will have the opportunity to see these boxes delivered along with the gospel!!! I am so thankful for this and cannot wait to see God move! I am praying for 20 church engagements when I return at the end of June. Please consider giving towards this and pray that God will use this time in Big ways. The money raised from this account go to reimburse Samaritans Purse for Food, Travel, Lodging and Experiences. Long term these funds really go towards growing the ministry and more church engagements to encourage the local church on how they are helping to grow the Kingdom through a simple shoebox gift.
