Help Me Volunteer in Uganda – I’m Swimming 240km to get there!
Hi! My name is Tallulah and I’ve been given an amazing opportunity to travel to Uganda on a school trip to volunteer at a local school.
This isn’t a holiday—it's a chance to make a real difference by helping children in Uganda access education, resources, and support. We’ll be working directly with the school, assisting teachers, running activities, building and helping to improve the learning environment for the students. I believe this will be a life-changing experience—not just for me, but for the young people we’ll be supporting.
To make this happen, I need to raise £2,500, which covers travel, accommodation, insurance, and everything needed for the volunteering project.
To show my commitment, I’m setting myself a serious challenge: I have set myself the challenge of swimming 240km—the width of Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest lake—between now and March '26. That’s 9600 lengths!
I'll be logging my swim progress and sharing updates along the way so you can see just how hard I'm working to earn your support.
How You Can Help
Donations – Any amount, big or small, will bring me one stroke closer to Uganda.
Share – If you can’t donate, I appreciate these are tough times, would you please share this page with friends, family, and on social media?
Encourage – Keep me motivated by cheering me on through the swim challenge!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story. This trip means the world to me, and with your help, I can make it a reality—and make a real difference somewhere it will really matter.
