Hi my name is Erin, and I am a student who has been offered an amazing opportunity to travel to Kenya after my GSCEs to help support the local communities there.

On this trip I will take part in projects that will improve living conditions and education in two rural locations.

This is a once in a lifetime experience for me where I hope to also go on safari and scuba dive off the Kenyan coast as well as make a difference to the lives of the locals we will be working with.

The funds raised will go to my travel, accommodation, training and excursions.

The total I am trying to raise is 5,190 however I have gained sponsorship from local businesses and am running craft stalls selling my homemade crotchet and jewellery. For the money on this page I am swimming the distance of the Kenyan coast (490000m which is 19600 lengths of a 25m pool). In addition I have also started a part time job to reach my goal.
