`Following Sir Chris Hoy's diagnosis with Stage 4 cancer, Tour De 4 was established with a clear purpose: to demonstrate that a Stage 4 diagnosis, while devastating, doesn't define the limits of what's possible.

The majority of patients I have the privilege to care for care for have stage 4 lung cancer. As well as funding vital research, Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation provide information, support and advocacy for patients living with lung cancer as well as working to change perceptions of this cruel illness. We have come a long way in recent years but we can do so much more.

I am excited to join my Beatson colleagues as we take on this challenge to raise funds for a range of cancer charities in support of our patients.
