My Sister, Tracey-Ava, was diagnosed with cancer (a lymphoma) in January, 2019 and had a STEM Cell Transplant in the Summer of 2019. The funds that we raised then, ($305 of $4,000) helped with her caretaking during the 8-weeks she was in California at SCRIPPS Green Medical Center. Unfortunately, she enjoyed remission for less than a year. Having recently received chemotherapy, she is preparing to return to California at the beginning of March for 2 1/2 months to once again address the return of her cancer. Her Angio-immunioblastic T-Cell Lymphoma (a form of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma) challenged us to find a donor for her upcoming transplant and once again arrange for caretaking. Because of the pandemic, we cannot provide care as we did in 2019. In addition, she will need 24-hour care from a primary caretaker for the initial 2-3 weeks after leaving the hospital and additional one-to-one care for the remainder of her time there.
Our new goal is $10,000 as she needs more intensive support and care this time. It is our hope to raise these funds as quickly as possible. Immediate family members have contributed but it is not enough to cover the total cost.
Your assistance and support is not only needed but truly appreciated.
