My son & family

Merry Christmas ~ everyday I count my blessings and am constantly reminded of how fortunate I am. Last night, Christmas Eve, my strength was certainly tested. My son called before midnight crying and frantically telling me that his home was burning to the ground. I was, and still am, in shock, my heart is hurting for him and his family~ they lost almost everything. One of his biggest concerns was for the Christmas gifts he had gotten for us all.
Sadly, his cats all perished in the fire; his wife heroically saved their 2 dogs.
Today, as I woke, I once again was thankful that my son and his family had survived the fire. All of their “things” are just that~ Things.
I never imagined myself actually using a Go Fund to hopefully help someone, but my pride stepped aside for this.
My son has owned his own Tree Business for 20 years ~ all of his equipment was lost in the blaze. The home was his mother-in-laws and she was just weeks away from contracting with new insurance company since the payoff last month. Needless to say, there was no home insurance in place. Careless, yes, but we must move forward and learn from our mistakes. Unfortunately, this was a life-changing lesson.
As my granddaughter said, if you cannot help financially, please for them; prayer is powerful.
