Help My Son Get Specialized Treatment After a Life-Changing Accident

On the 31st of July, 2024, my son’s life changed forever.

He was involved in a serious scooter accident that left him with multiple traumatic injuries. He broke both arms, his jaw, and clavicle. He also suffered a petechial hemorrhage, a form of brain injury caused by trauma. He was admitted to the ICU for two weeks and spent nearly two months hospitalized, fighting through pain and uncertainty.

While we are deeply grateful that he survived, the road to recovery has been extremely difficult.

After being discharged, we faced another challenge: his right arm. From his fingertips to just above his elbow, he has no sensation or movement. Despite months of physiotherapy, there has been little improvement, and we are now being advised to seek specialized treatment abroad.

As a parent, it’s heartbreaking to watch your child go through something like this. I want to give him every chance at regaining the use of his arm, and that means getting him to a facility in Sri Lanka or India where he can access advanced neurological and rehabilitative care that isn’t available here.

But we can’t do this alone.

We are humbly asking for your help.

The funds raised will go toward:

• Specialized medical treatment and consultations abroad

• Travel and accommodation expenses

• Continued physiotherapy and rehabilitation

• Any necessary assistive equipment and medical costs
