Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
My sister, has taken the brave step of leaving an abusive marriage. This decision has taken years of heartache, fear, and therpy and she is now determined to break free from the control and manipulation she has endured. Unfortunately, leaving isn’t just an emotional journey—it’s also a financial one.
For years, she has suffered from emotional abuse, and her courage to move forward is a testament to her strength and determination.”
To help her build a future free from fear, we are asking for your support. Over the last few years she has been unable to work. She was diagnosed with crohn's disease and is scheduled to have surgery in a couple of weeks. The cost of legal fees, therapy, and other essential services to help her through this transition is overwhelming. Legal proceedings in abusive divorce cases are especially complex and costly, and we want to ensure she has the proper resources to fight for the safety, dignity, and future of her and her children.
How Your Support Will Help:
Legal fees: Hiring a lawyer experienced in domestic abuse cases is crucial to making sure my sister is fully protected in court.
Therapy and counseling: Recovering from abuse is a long process, and your donations will help my sister get the emotional support she needs.
Relocation and security: She is renting a home but since she has left her husband he has canceled her cards and taken all the money from the bank.
Emergency expenses: Help with basic necessities like housing, groceries, and other immediate needs during this time of transition.
Your donation, no matter how big or small, will make an incredible difference in my sister’s life and will empower her to move forward with hope and healing.
Please, if you can, donate, share this campaign, or simply keep my sister in your thoughts and prayers. We are so grateful for any support that can help her begin a new chapter—one where she is safe, free, and surrounded by love.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart
With gratitude,
Lorie
