Hi my name is Shari and I’m setting up a go fund me page for my sister Hollie, the soldier. My sister has been a victim of DV for 6 years. In the last six years she has raised her two beautiful children Amalia and Alyssia, on her own. With little financial support and a world full of turmoil and fear she has managed to still raise two amazing humans. Hollie has been at times relocated by the domestic violence team, had the most amazing support from the WA police, faced court rooms, instilled VRO’s and still stood tall for her children.

She works full time, runs the kids to and from school, has weekly pysc appointments with the kids.. due to trauma, has health appointments and just general Mum duties. Just when she thought it had all come to a stand still and was feeling safe, happy and content in life.. last night happened.

Hollies car (which she just finished paying off last month) was torched maliciously last night, with intent.

This story gets worse.. we recently returned from a family overseas trip and her bank card had suspicious activity and was hacked so she cancelled the card. Unfortunately not thinking, she never added her new car details and didn’t realise her insurance had lapsed.

Being a single mother times are already tough. Without the funds to buy a new car she now faces immense challenges on how to get the kids around, to school, appointments and potentially herself to work.

If you know my sister, you know she’s a good person. She’s always there for everyone, will drop what she’s doing at the drop of a hat for anyone and will go without to help others.

I’m asking to now return the favour to her.

It’s not often I see this soldier broken. Today I did. Let’s uplift her and show her we care.
