My sister Chaley, and her kids need help with a home.

Hi my name is Mikki. This fundraiser is for my sister, Chaley.

So, her and her kids have been through hell and back for the last few years. She was in an abusive relationship for 4 years and I saw it all, her kids were miserable, she was struggling to make ends meet because of the emotional distress he was putting her through, kept her from working so that he could keep her tied down. Once she finally was able to get out of that, things just got worse. She stayed in a hotel for a little while until she could no longer afford it. One tiny room for the three of them. And now, for the last 2 years she's been homeless and bouncing between homes, staying with me at my place and at my step dad/mom's house, who don't want her there. (If you remember, I was abruptly kicked out of that house) My step dad is verbally abusive and my mom does nothing about it. She's been having to sleep/live in her car for the most part. I've watched the kids struggle seeing their mom like this. I've watched them cry and be really distressed that they can't see her as much anymore. If they want to spend time with each other, they can only hang out for a few hours at like a McDonald's or something, no private space for them to just be a family. It's been really disheartening watching my sister and her kids go through these tough times. The kids have been safe at their dad's, but they miss their mom. She's been fighting for a place to live to call home. She finally got accepted at an apartment after all the pain and suffering they've had to go through. She just needs assistance with the move-in fees, the first bill payments and first/last months rent. I want to see my niece and nephew happy again, to see them reunited, to be a family again, have a place to call home and not be scared or struggling anymore. I didn't know how I could help all this time, but this is the only way I know how. I just want them to be okay.
