My SF Marathon Fundraiser for Soccer Without Borders
Tax deductible
Hi friends, family, and kind strangers,
On July 27, 2025, I’ll be running the San Francisco Marathon—not just for the challenge, but for a cause that means a great deal to me: Soccer Without Borders (SWB).
As a volunteer coach at the Oakland hub, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful this program is. SWB isn’t just about soccer. It’s about community, opportunity, and belonging for newcomer and immigrant youth navigating a new country, often under incredibly difficult circumstances.
Given the current challenges facing immigrant communities in the U.S., the work SWB does is more vital than ever. For many of the youth we serve, the soccer field is one of the few spaces where they feel safe, seen, and supported.
I’m running to help raise funds for uniforms, transportation, and year-round programming that supports these young people as they grow, not just as athletes but as kind, confident, and connected members of their communities.
If you believe in the power of sport, in the importance of inclusion, or in the basic dignity of every child to feel like they belong, I’d be grateful for your support.
Whether you donate $5 or $50, every bit helps. Every mile I run will be fueled by your generosity.
Thank you for standing with me, and with the youth of Soccer Without Borders.
