In October 2025 I received approval to run my third Boston Marathon with Dana Farber's Marathon Challenge team. On November 10th, 2025, I found out I had a malignant tumor in my colon. On December 23rd, 2025, I had surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital with Dana Farber Surgeon Dr. James Yoo. Reality met my purpose.
For three years I have been fundraising for the Dana Farber Center Institute. I have been doing that in memory of my father, my mother, and my mother-in-law all battled this disease. Their strength courage and love continue to inspire me every day - and now I have deeply personal motivation.
I know that Dana Farber is at the forefront of cancer research and patient care. Every dollar raised supports cutting edge science and compassionate care- helping patients not just to fight but to survive and thrive.
The marathon is more than 26.2 miles - it is a journey of hope, remembrance and determination, I'm running for those we've lost, for those still fighting and for a future where cancer is no longer a devasting diagnosis.
If you can please consider making a donation. No amount is too small. Together we can make meaningful difference in the fight against cancer.
Thank you for your support - it means the world to me.
