Hi, my name is Lacey Wheat and I am trying to raise money to help Scott and Pam Adkins (my parents) pay for Scott’s double lung transplant. He is 57 years old and had to quit working a year ago bc his pulmonary fibrosis and COPD got to bad. He use to do paint and body work and can’t wear oxygen there. So my mom’s income became there only income. The pulmonary fibrosis got worse and worse and he just received his double lung transplant on June 2nd which is such a blessing but my parents also received there first $8000 bill of many. My mom had to drive back and forth to Houston while he was in the hospital for a couple weeks and now they have to go every week and get tests done. She hasn’t been able to work hardly at all and is only going to get to work less bc yesterday he wasn’t feeling well and had a positive Covid test (doing ok with it right now thankfully) I know they must be overwhelmed with bills and costs and I just hope to give them a little stress relief so he can focus on healing.
