Help my parents rebuild after devastating fire
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Deanne, i am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my parents, who lost everything they worked so hard for in a devastating shed fire.
the fire was caused by a suspected phone explosion, and in just moments, years of dedication and dreams were reduced to ashes.
my parents are the kind of people who would give the shirts off their backs to help anyone in need.
they have always been the first to show up when someone needed a hand, never expecting anything in return, now they find themselves on the other side, in need of help they never imagined needing.
the shed wasn't just a place where dad stored things- it was where my dad, a passionate car enthusiast, poured over 13 years into building his pride and joy, a mint-condition SLR 5000.
It was more than a car to him; it was an investment for their future and a symbol of his hard work.
this car had only just hit the road for the first time earlier this year, making its debut at my brother's wedding, a massive moment of pride for my dad.
also lost in the fire was their recently restored caravan, a project my parents had devoted countless hours to, planning to use it for their future travels in retirement.
another holden ss they had hoped to preserve as a future investment was destroyed, along with a daily car they had been borrowing of my sisters.
every tool my dad owned turned to dust, dad was the go-to when it came to his shed, u needed something dad had it, everything he owned and I'm sure sitting in there somewhere would have been his very first tool set he ever owned now turned to dust.
my parents are not wealthy; they built everything they have from the ground up through hard work and sacrifice.
They unfortunately didn't have insurance, believing they were safe, since they rarely left the shed.
now, they face the daunting task of cleaning up and rebuilding, a burden no one should have to bear alone.
while I am incredibly thankful my parents are safe, my heart breaks for the loss of everything they have spent years working towards. any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to them and help ease the financial strain as they begin the long road to recovery.
i know these things are replaceable, but the memories and dreams tied to them are not. My only wish is to lift some of the overwhelming stress off their shoulders and help them rebuild their lives.
thank you from the absolute bottom of my heart for any support you can offer.
