My name is June, and I grew up in the San Gabriel Valley. Over 20 years ago, my mother, Carol, and her husband, Kent, made their home in Altadena. It wasn’t just a house—it was a place where we built memories, where love and laughter filled every room. But when the Eaton fire tore through the mountains, they had no time to save anything. They were forced to evacuate in a matter of minutes, leaving behind everything they had known and cherished. Their home, along with their community, was devastated by the flames.
