Hello all,

my name is Tyler Meunier. I’m raising funds for my mother, Darlene Meunier, who was recently diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.

My mom lives in a small community called Ilse Madame in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia where she works as a Continuing Care Assistant at a local nursing home. She loves her job as she gets to help people everyday who are not always able to complete their everyday tasks themselves.

At the beginning of December my mom had been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, as you can imagine our family was heartbroken with this information; especially during the holidays. Being the strong, brave, resilient woman my mother is, she will soon be starting chemotherapy in hopes of shrinking and removing the cancer. The chemotherapy will happen weekly for 6 months, and with hopes that everything goes well, she will have surgery to remove the cancer then another 6 months of chemotherapy to ensure all the cancer has been killed. During these next 12 months my mother is unable to work and will have no money coming in to help support her needs.

my mom is an incredible woman who loves her kids and grand daughter. She enjoys travelling, going to the beach soaking in the sun and spending time with her puppy Rocko. Today I’m hoping to help my mom get the help that she deserves and that she generously gives to others.

I put the goal as $5000 which should help cover some of her bills and fuel to driver to her appointments over the next couple of months. Any help and support is extremely appreciated. If you’re not able to donate, I ask to please keep my mom in your thoughts and prayers and to please share.
