I am Ashley, Paige’s older sister. As most of you know our family was blindsided when finding out that my baby sister had a brain tumor that she needed to have emergency surgery to remove. we found this out on October 30th & by November 3rd Paige was admitted for surgery. Her brain tumor was a “Polysistic Astrocytoma” & it was on her celleberum. Surgery went as expected & we will know soon if they were able to get all of it! (They’re confident they did) but recovery is throwing some very tough battles Paige’s way, & our families way as a whole. Paige is more or less a “toddler” again, in many ways. She needs 24/7 constant care. She needs help using the bathroom, bathing, making food, walking, you name it. Right now her eye is floating around in its socket & she’s struggling to even see. This means my mom is her CONSTANT caregiver. Though there are many of us that want to help, it’s just not in the cards. She has to be at home & she has to be with my mom. This is now becoming an issue because my mom is no longer getting paid to be off work to stay home with her. If we can’t get some help, she will have to return to work on Monday the 20th, but Paige is required to have constant care until at LEAST the 30th. I know it’s holiday season & everyone’s struggling right now, but starting this GFM is the least I can do as a sister & a daughter that wants to help her family, but isn’t able to do so on my own. My mom doesn’t even want me to be doing this but.. I don’t care! ❤️ she needs help, Paige needs help, my family needs help. Please please please, if you’ve ever thought “what can I do for them?” during this difficult time, this is it. Please help me get my mom to be able to stay home until Paige is able to care for herself again. My mom is the most selfless person & has given up SO MUCH for my little family alone, all the time. It’s my turn to try to do the same for her, but I need your help. ❤️ Even just a share. thank you all so much & keep the prayers coming!
