My name is Souad AkiI. am a friend of Ahmed and acting as his advocate to help him and his sick mother receive the support they desperately need.
My name is Ahmed. I am 23 years old, from Gaza.
I am writing to you today with an urgent plea to save my life and the life of my mother, who could lose her life at any moment.
Before the war, my family and I lived a stable and normal life.
We loved life, and we had dreams and goals for the future.
I was studying at university and working toward a successful future.
But the occupation army destroyed everything—our home, our dreams, and everything we had built over the years disappeared in a single moment.
When the war began, my family fled to the south seeking safety.
I stayed in Gaza City for a while because of my work as a local journalist.
On my way south to join my family, I was arrested during the displacement.
I was tortured, and I was given food that was not fit for consumption.
After some time in detention, I was released and continued my journey to the south.
When I finally reached them, I found my family living in extremely harsh conditions—no proper shelter, no medical care, no stability.
And I found my mother dying slowly, and I knew I had to be the one to save my family and help them survive.
Because of displacement, lack of food, and the severe living conditions, I developed serious stomach and colon diseases.
My mother also suffers from chronic illnesses and needs medication that is nearly impossible to find.
My sister is ill as well and needs treatment. She lost her two small children, who were killed by random shelling. She now carries pain no mother should ever have to bear.
My Mother’s Condition:
My mother suffers from severe diabetes, a life-threatening condition that could take her life at any moment.
In the south of Gaza, during displacement, her health collapsed. She became unable to move and slipped into diabetic coma most of the time.
She was taken to the hospital after her blood sugar level rose to 1100.
She fell into a coma, and when she woke up, she was no longer the same.
She cannot walk now. Her nerves are damaged.
Her kidneys and eyes are affected, and fluid has built up in her body and eyes.
Doctors said she needs treatment outside Gaza because proper care here is nearly impossible.
Her heart muscle strength is 42%, and it grows weaker day by day.
I am not asking for much…
If the border crossing opens, and if I can just afford the coordination fees, I will be forever grateful.
She has only us… and even sharing this story makes a difference.
Please do not leave us alone.
A word, a share, or even a small donation can save a life.
We returned to northern Gaza, but when we arrived, we found our home had been attacked, burned, and severely damaged.
Walls, rooms, windows—everything destroyed.
The house no longer protects us, especially now with winter approaching.
The cold enters from every direction.
The nights are unbearably harsh.
My family is dying slowly.
My mother is dying slowly.
She has no access to treatment.
I do not want to lose my mother and be left alone.
I myself am in need of medical care.
I am not a man who asks for help easily.
But today, with everything collapsing around us—the destruction, the freezing winter inside a broken home—I am forced to ask for support.
Every second, I watch my mother slipping away.
Your donation—no matter how small—will help us:
• Repair the urgent parts of our destroyed home
• Cover treatment costs for me and my mother
• Pay travel and coordination fees once the borders open
• Buy warm winter clothes and blankets
• Secure basic necessities
• Purchase essential medications
• Survive this winter with dignity and safety
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your support.
Every act of kindness makes a difference.
May God bless you and protect your families.
