MY MISSION IN UGANDA
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Douglas. I’m from Brazil, based in Australia. I came here with a dream: study and improve myself in Education, like Early Childhood Learning and Care programs and English courses.
Back home, I’m a teacher. I graduated in Languages - Portuguese and English, and my degree included a lot of literature too. I also learned Spanish as a third language. Teaching isn’t just a job for me, it’s something I really believe in.
Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about life and its meaning. The world is going through so much, and I don’t want to just stay quiet, living a routine without helping others. I want to make a difference. My family is safe, I’m healthy, and I feel ready for a new challenge. But to make this happen, I need help.
Right now, I work as a itchenhand in a restaurant. I use the money to pay my bills and my school fees, which aren’t cheap here. Even though I’m working hard, it’s tough to save enough for a big volunteering program abroad that I really want to do.
With this volunteering opportunity, I will be able to help children living in difficult situations, teaching not only academic content but also showing them that they have a better future ahead.
Your donation will help cover:
- Volunteer program fees
- Accommodation and meals
- Health insurance and visa costs
- Flights and essential travel expenses
My goal is to raise $1,500 in the next 3 months so I can start this journey by the end of the year. I will share everything with you: photos, stories, and lessons learned in a way you can keep updated.
With your help (even $1) I can follow my dream to volunteer teaching and caring for kids who really need support to give back and make the world a better place with education.
Thank you so much for reading and believing in me.
