Hi, my name is Merry, I have been in and out of the hospital last year and this year. But since February I got sick really bad and GP is investigating for POTS Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome because I have been passing out everyday even in the public place and my heart rate goes up. Had abdominal pain and stayed in the hospital for 4 days and they found out I have cyst on my left ovary. They didn’t do surgery, they want to wait for 6 weeks to see if it grows. And after 1 week I had bad chest pain I thought I’m having heart attack but then after two weeks I was in emergency and the doctor said I have pericarditis which is inflammation around my heart. After two weeks it’s getting worse I went back to emergency and doctor said I have collapsed upper lobe lung and there’s a spot that they don’t know what is it. I have done lots of test. I was in the hospital Hervey bay for 4 days and they decided to sent me here in royal Brisbane women’s hospital to do

bronchoscopy. I had my bronchoscopy Friday the 21 of March and I was asleep the whole time and didn’t feel a thing. The next day my doctor who done my bronchoscopy went to see me around 11 in the morning and told me about what happened when he did my bronchoscopy. He said I’m likely have lung cancer the way he sees it and it’s all over my wind pipe and he will do more test. I was devastated to hear the news and I called everyone to pray for me and my husband called everyone too. Sunday and Monday morning we just keep crying because I never smoke or drink and how did I get this. But then Monday came we were waiting for the doctor to see us as we need answers. The doctor went to see me around 5. The doctor said we will still wait for the other biopsy results. We are praying it’s not cancer. The money we are going to raise is to help us while I’m in the hospital and not working because of my condition and for my family to be with me here in Brisbane as I need my family to emotionally support me in all these difficult times.
