My mamaw - Loretta Riddle
Hi, my name is Madison and I’m raising money for my grandmother. My grandmother was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease, also known as ALS in February but has had it for about 2 years, while doctors struggled to find a diagnosis. ALS attacks nerve cells, called motor neurons, that control voluntary muscles (the muscles we are able to control). When these cells die, voluntary muscle control and movement are lost. This leads to progressive weakness and disability. People living with ALS eventually lose their strength, ability to move their arms, legs, and body, and the ability to breathe on their own. I’m looking for donations so we can build her a ramp so she is able to get in and out of her home easier and safer to go to doctors appointments. Our goal is $3000 to help cover the cost of materials and labor. She is on a fixed income and anything your able to contribute is much appreciated. Thanks again!
