On August 1, 2023 my son Erick Portillo was murdered in cold blood in front of our home. Erick was murdered by two shooters that were called by neighbors that lived in the same community. This was over a fight that occurred earlier on that same day by two problematic tenants in the community who initiated violence towards both my children, my daughter, and son. Property management knew of all the incidents. But, management never addressed these issues with these families, instead property management brushed all these issues under the rug after numerous complaints made by me and other families in the community about these tenants causing violence and disturbing our peace.
Furthermore, a fight was initiated by a 16 y/o and her friend who fought my 13 y/o daughter. My son was trying to protect me and his sister. Later that night the tenants came to my door threatening to come back.The shooters were hiding behind bushes and trees. Shot my son from the back as he was running back into safety. My son Erick drowned in his own blood and vomit and died in front of me while I performed CPR. These people fled for three days and on the fourth day they went to the police station and they were released. These people did not confess to their involvement in my son's murders and did not give the police any information of who they called to come and kill my 15 year old son.
Erick did not deserve this; he had his whole life ahead of him. Two years have passed and no Justice has been served. I have tried everything to get answers. I am a desperate mother who demands Justice for my 15 year old little boy and I need the public’s and the community's help to bring him the Justice he rightfully deserves. This go fund me funds will go into a trust fund account that will ONLY be used for a reward or hire a private investigator to bring answers to our broken family. Please help us! No Justice, no peace.
