My Last Dying Wish For Husband…

Donation protected

Up until August 2024 we had a good life (me 55 the wife my wonderful husband 56). We’re not rich, not even wealthy but happily married for 22 years, nice house and 2 gorgeous, funny, wonderful Labrador girlies (Rebel 5 & Pepper 6 - they’re half sisters).

Then bam, I was told I had terminal cancer and our worlds fell apart. But we’re a team right? We can find someway through. Well it turns out - no!
I was made redundant (yes company knew of cancer and yes apparently it is legal) they then offered a different job at a third of wage.

Fast forward past several long stints in hospital, 2 haemorrhages, infections, problems with medication.

Then disaster strikes again, as in March we find out Rebel (who was just 5 on May 4th) is diagnosed with terminal cancer (we have possibly 3 months left with her). Anyone who has had the privilege of having dogs will attest to the fact they help you to keep going even at darkest moments, never fail to make you laugh and each have very different personalities.
And then once more we are tested again with the eldest dog who contracted Pyometra. Fortunately both cancer and Pyometra tests and diagnosis were covered by insurance. Although no insurance will save Rebel.

So my husband is about to lose me and his youngest pup, our home, relocate and start again with only our 6yr old sensitive lab as a reminder.

So now we have to sell our house, the house we adore the house that, even with my new mobility issues, fits all our needs. We have been through figures and my husband cannot cover mortgage on his wage (even by paying off part of outstanding mortgage with a small cashed in pension).
I wanted to have this sorted before I die but I won’t be able, I feel it will be such a burden for him to do this alone.
he has done everything for all of us, always putting others first, before himself . I wanted a better outcome for him than this I feel, he will be heartbroken when it all comes to an end.

Please donate anything you can, thank you for reading this message.

Love Penny

Today I said my last goodbyes to my puppy Rebel (Roo Roo) she was our most loved and perfect dog. She lost her bottle with cancer which was diagnosed four months ago. It’s totally heartbreaking, at this time.
To my wonderful Pup you be missed by Pepper & Me.

I would like to update you all on Penny’s condition, it has been very hard for her over the past few days, since she suffered a stroke on Friday in the early hours of the morning, she’s lost feeling in left side, and her speech has been impaired, I have moved Penny to a hospice as she now care around the clock. They have Doctors on site to manage her pain relief, with some excellent staff who truly care for you while you’re there. I’m spending most of my time there with her so the nurses and doctors can understand what she needs and how she communicates.
Again I thank you all for your support, for Penny and myself at this difficult time
I leave you with on of my favourite ph of my wife & me
