UPDATE: total cost of repairs for our vehicles come out to $1800 minimum. We still need assistance with rentals/ubers/furniture/and missed work until our vehicles can be repaired
As many of you know, my children and I have been experiencing a series of unfortunate events that have continued to put us behind in our abilities to get ahead in all areas of our lives.
We lost our home last December due to my poor financial situation. My son had to live with his father while my daughter and I lived in a camper. So, 3 months ago, I started classes to become an insurance adjuster to begin a promising career for our future and get us all back on track. The very same day I started school and put a down payment on a reliable vehicle, that vehicle was totaled by a drunk driver along with injuries which postponed my ability to complete my education courses and set me back immensely in my finances.
Finally, a week ago, my daughter was blessed with a trailer for her and my son to move into, and I was able to move in with my boyfriend, unfortunately 3.5 hours away from them.
Last Friday, my daughter’s car broke down, leaving her and my son without transportation. She is the only one working currently, as my son just graduated high school. They live in Granbury, an hour away from her job and everyone that they know. And on that same day, I was in another car accident in my repaired and already totaled vehicle, which is now not drivable. I live 20 miles away from my job and cannot afford Ubers to make it to work. My boyfriend works 12-hour shifts that conflict with my work hours. He also is struggling himself to make ends meet, being a single parent of two.
My daughter and I are desperately needing help with costs for Ubers and for parts and labor to get our vehicles repaired. My son and daughter need major necessities such as food, toiletries, a bed, and anything that you would need in a home. They have 2 weeks to pay for electric and water, or it will be cut off. She is unable to afford to pay for rides to work and has had to miss work. The last thing she said they had to eat was a frozen pizza and ramen. My heart is shattered, and I feel extremely helpless as a mother, being broke myself and unable to afford rides to work.
It is extremely hard for me to reach out and ask for help like this, as I am ashamed to be in this disaster. But anything will help! If you have any of the necessities mentioned above that can be donated to my kids, please contact me at [phone redacted]. And prayers, please pray for strength and courage to keep our heads up. ❤️❤️
