My Journey to Cambodia!

"No one will protect what they don't care about, and no one will care about what they haven't experienced"-Sir David Attenborough (my idol)

Hi, I'm Daisy, currently 15 years old, and my school has introduced a trip to Cambodia, not only to help with humanitarian projects for the people but to help conserve wildlife and build skills.
In Cambodia 1975 - 1979 there was a brutal massacre, by the Khmer Rouge, in which any man, woman or child who had a job in areas like computing or teaching or even those wearing glasses were brutally killed. This left Cambodia with a large skills gap keeping the poor poor, the malnourished malnourished and the homeless homeless (see more here). The citizens of Cambodia are now left in undeveloped housing with poor water sources, my journey is to help fix that.
I am going to Cambodia in 2026 with a team of other youngsters to help build wells, learn about culture and teach at schools. Camps International have done many wonderfully inspiring jobs like planting over 1 million trees to date. I am proud to be part of one unit in an army of students who will be able to aid preserving one of the most biodiverse rich locations. So, if you believe this is worth it, please do donate.
