Dear friends and good people. My name is Fatima and I am from Luxembourg. I will share with you the story of my friend Loay from Gaza and hope that you all be able to support him. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

My name is Loay and I am from Gaza. I worked as a photographer and video editor. I am certified in journalistic and media works by the UN. I had ambitions that I wanted to achieve, but I suddenly lost everything. I lost my simple home in which I had built all my dreams and lived since my childhood. I lost many family members, many friends and my dreams went with them too. Due to the bombing my home was completely destroyed and I found myself homeless. In Gaza, people are displaced over and over again. I used to live in Gaza city but I was displaced to the south of Gaza and I am living now in a tent. We live under most difficult circumstances and due to lack of space and difficulties we have, I had to separate myself from the rest of my family and share my tent with other displaced people. I never thought that a day will come where I would have to ask anyone for money, but this situation has not given me any other choice. To get some money I already had to sell some of my equipments as photographer it was a hurtfull decision. Your donations are giving me hope to continue on my path and deliver my message to the world through my work as a photographer.

اسمي لؤي من غزة، عملت كمصور ومحرر فيديو، أنا معتمد في الأعمال الصحفية والإعلامية من قبل العديد من المؤسسات الدولية. كان لدي طموحات أردت تحقيقها، لكنني فقدت كل شيء فجأة. لقد فقدت منزلي البسيط الذي بنيت فيه كل أحلامي وعشت طفولتي به. لقد فقدت العديد من الأصدقاء وذهبت أحلامي معهم أيضا بسبب القصف، دمر منزلي بالكامل ووجدت نفسي بلا مأوى. في غزة، يتم تشريد الناس مرارا وتكرارا. كنت أعيش في مدينة غزة لكنني نزحت إلى جنوب غزة وأعيش الآن في خيمة. نحن نعيش في ظل أصعب الظروف وبسبب نقص المساحة والصعوبات التي نواجهها، اضطررت إلى فصل نفسي عن بقية عائلتي ومشاركة خيمتي مع النازحين الآخرين. لم أعتقد أبدا أنه سيأتي يوم سأضطر فيه إلى طلب المال من أي شخص، ولكن هذا الموقف لم يمنحني أي خيار آخر. للحصول على بعض المال، اضطررت بالفعل إلى بيع بعض معداتي كمصور، لقد كان قرارا صعباً.
