My grandpa in Venezuela and college goals

Hello everyone,

My name is Oriana Morales, and my family and I are fundraising to help cover the costs of the medical expenses and treatments my grandpa is in dire need of in Venezuela as well as some school needs. We immigrated to the United States from Venezuela nine years ago - nine years apart from all of our family and friends back home. We have fought diligently every day to pursue our dreams: my brother is studying to be an orthopedic surgeon, and I am on my way to my last semester to become an aerospace engineer. This has come at a cost, however, holding multiple jobs per semester, and seeing my parents sacrifice a lot to help us achieve our goals. During the past two months, our grandpa Luis in Venezuela has fallen critically ill; he lives alone and is paralyzed from half of his body due to a stroke that occurred many years ago. We are doing everything in our power to help, but the thousands of miles of distance greatly limit what we can do.

During this time as well, my mother lost her job, I lost my second job while at school, and my father is working tirelessly with his very small self-starter company to make ends meet. We are asking that you become a part of our dream by helping us cover medicine costs, providing a caregiver, delivering diapers and goods to my grandpa, and helping me cover the first couple of school payments.

I am actively searching for another second job that I will pursue while in school, and my mother is searching as well, but my family does not currently have the means to make the payment in full, and not doing so could stop me from graduating. Additionally, with my grandpa's condition without a caregiver in his house, he is eating only once or twice a day, and due to his mobility issues cannot receive medical help unless it is directly sent to his house. With your help, we can provide him with some physical therapy that can alleviate the pain in his only working arm, as well as ensure he is well-fed and can perform daily activities.
