Hi, my name is Kate, everyone meet pip (pictured) a well loved member of our family and my grandads best friend in the world! In October 2025 whilst celebrating my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary my grandad took pip out in his communal back garden, something he does multiple times a night every night and much to his surprise and without time to react or save pip, pip was brutally attacked and sadly lost his life after being attacked by an unleashed XL bulldog a neighbour was taking care of for a friend, my grandad called for help as he could not see due to it being pitch black, and could only hear his beloved best friend being taken from him in the worst possible way. When pip was finally retrieved he had sadly passed away. This has broken my grandads heart, he no longer goes on his daily walks, he is so sad and we all can’t bare to see him this way. The trauma of losing pip has affected us all. The time has come when he feels ready to get another puppy to love and dote on however he is failing to find a puppy within his budget, I was hoping to help raise some funds to help mend his broken heart and although we will never replace or forget pip my grandad needs a reason to get back out walking and to lift his mood. He is not a person who would ever ask for help so I’m hoping if we can raise anything that the hope of a new friend outweighs me asking for help off others. Thankyou for reading x
