My Friend Shafeek and her foster kids

Hi my name is Kathie and this is for a beautiful friend who’s name is Fatumah Shafeek. She used to employ many people in Beit Hanoun with her late husband making perfume. She was an active member in society and was living a normal life until the ________ destroyed it. She lost her husband and 3 children Bashir, Khalifan and Hakim. She lost both her parents and 8 brothers and sisters when they b0mbed their home in December of last year and is the only remaining relative of the Abdulrahman Walid Shafeek bloodline. She currently cares for 6 children and 1 baby who all lost their parents also. One of the children was covered by a house after a b@mbing and as she was helping to pull them out a brick wall fell on her injuring her back, which has left Shafeek in agony and unable to walk far and requires medication to function and look after the children. She currently lives with them in a small tent and like many over their they have no food. $35 USD gets them only enough flour for them all for 2 weeks and it’s extra for powdered milk for the baby. Can you imagine only eating plain flour porridge everyday? And making your foster children eat it?

Her days are tough and the children cry all the time from hunger, trauma and grief. Shafeek finds it hard to get up most days but always pushes herself for the kids she now calls her own and she does it with a beautiful unwavering faith. She is a true survivor and has survived death twice already and spends her time helping others and these babies.

She can’t relocated with this current push as she can’t walk far. All she wants is food and milk to sustain her new broken family. Please my friends help my dear sister from across the sea and her desperate situation. I give all I can to her but we need support to help them survive the rest of this year. No matter how small the donation, she will see it and appreciate it all ❤️
