My name is Ronnie and my fiancés name is Alexa. Her best friend, her greatest gift, besides her children, is her dog, ZO. Zo turned 1 on May 10th of this year, just so happens to be my birthday so to her, he means so much more. Zo isn’t just her pet, he’s also her kids, our kids BEST FRIEND. He’s just a baby himself. Zo started acting different on Sunday afternoon, it started with throwing up, a really foul smell, then he started refusing his food, then water. He went down hill from there starting Monday. My fiancé was sick for about 2 weeks before this, she kind of assumed maybe he was just sick, gave him a little bit to see if he perked up, nothing was working. Fast forward to Tuesday, he hasn’t gotten any better, she brought him to an emergency vet in Newton and found out he has a possible obstruction in his intestines and needs help ASAP. He needs X-rays, blood work, sedation, iv fluids and a possible emergency surgery. No one is ever prepared for this to happen and the funds just aren’t there at the moment due to her having to take the summer off to stay home with the kids. as bills just piled up. She applied for a care credit, to find out her credit is 3 points below what they would accept. The vet worked with her and gave him some under the skin fluids and nausea meds but that’s all they could do and sent them home. The bill for just the diagnostic testing is nearly 1,500 and up to 7,000 if he does need this surgery. Please help save Zo.
