Hi, my name is Stuart, I'm 17 years old and I am setting up this Go fund me to help raise money for my mum and our family. My family has been going through a lengthy court battle for the last two years and we are looking at being left homeless and in a large amount of debt.

This all started around three years ago where my dad was being abusive towards my mum and my sister. After the police got involved my mum separated from him and we started to rebuild a new life without him as he wanted nothing to do with myself and my sister. we haven't seen or spoke to him in almost three years and has made no effort to try and contact or see us.

Around a year after that my mum got letter from a solicitor telling her that my dad is trying to half the house is his and also trying to claim for multiple other things. this court battle has been going on for two years now and is about to get settled in court. Through this whole process my mum hasn't been able to afford to get her own solicitor or anyone to help her because she is unable to work do to her health. we tried multiple different routes to get help and advice but haven't been able to. In total he is trying to claim 50% of the house a further £20,000 in two year back rent with charges, a further £10,000 for a knotweed settlement that we got from the council but never received, he has also put a clause in the court battle that my mum has to settle the 20% ownership that is owned by her previous partner as it never got settled and paid out and finally he is trying to get the court to make her pay for his legal bills which add up to around £45,000.

As you can imagine this is a very hard time for our family and we really don't know what the future holds but we are facing been made homeless with nothing but our belongings left.

my mum has always sacrificed everything for me and my sister and this is a last resort for me to try an help my family.
