Hello, my name is Paula and I have started this GFM account on behalf of my cousin and her family. My cousin Sherri Casolari is my Indiana cousin. This heartwarming story is about her daughter Emily and her precious family. Here is their story…after moving to Arizona for work, my cousin Emily and her husband, Ryan flew back to her home town in Indiana for a baby shower. She was only 29 weeks pregnant and given the green light by her doctor to fly, have a baby shower and fly home a few days later. Well, as chance would have it, on the day of the baby shower, Emily felt her water break on the way to her shower and immediately called her doctor in Arizona. Now because it was a Saturday the first call did not get a response …. so she she proceeded to the shower. When she arrived and got out of the car, she felt more fluid, but went inside regardless to see all the wonderful family and good friends that had made it from all over the country to support and see her. The only problem is the fluid did not let up and she again put a call into the doctor. This time with success she reached her doctor who told her “you’re going in immediately “. So with family and friends in tow, they arrived at the nearest hospital. After checking into the emergency center, they admitted her right away to be examined. It was determined that she was in fact going into labor and dilated 4 centimeters. She was then made aware that she and her husband we not going anywhere except a labor ward where they would be staying until Ava was born. So after administering medications to prolong the delivery as long as they could, baby Ava Jade was born a few days later. Of course she was very early and a 30 week old premature cutie pie. Unfortunately this is not where she lives or her mom & dad. My cousin, Emily recovered from the birth about 5 days later and the hospital had to discharge her. Now of course there was no way mom and dad were leaving their new baby girl but they also did not have a place to live or a vehicle to get them to and from. Luckily, being originally from Indiana, Emily had a support system but as everyone knows, people can only help so much. They’ve been away from their home in AZ for a month … NO work…. NO money coming in and they are stranded trying to do what they can while their baby grows big and strong enough to go home. They are anticipating a few more weeks but again, that’s a few more weeks of struggle while the bills pile up and so do the worries ! It feels like a make believe movie to them. They honestly cannot believe their greatest blessing arrived early and and 1,700 miles from home! Sometimes even the best plans are interrupted and friends and family support can make all the difference in the world! We ask with an open heart and a humble hand out…any help you could give would mean the world to them! Please help to make this wonderful time in their life a little less stressful. Thank you all for listening to their story. All the best and God Bless!
