My Dad Ger Hannan

My Dad Ger passed away after a 4 week battle with liver failure after an operation he got to try and extend his life to remove tumors from his bowel and Liver! He had a cancer called neuroendocrine and was only diagnosed in February 2020. My father was in the ICU in the Mercy Hospital cork and we are From limerick. When we got the call last Tuesday we had to travel from Limerick at 4am
and we didn’t make it to see him before he was brought to theater and when my dad took a bad turn we didn’t want to leave him and come back to limerick as we knew we would never make it back and we were not aloud stay with him only 30mins visit for 2 people once a day so the nurse in the ICU phoned BRU COLUMBANUS in Wilton cork about 5 mins from the mercy for us! They were amazing and we can’t thank them enough they run on donations for families that need to stay close to loved ones that are in hospital. We are so thankful for them that we were so close and made it to be with our dad in the early hours Saturday morning at the time we needed to be! We left a donation when we left but we want to donate more so they can continue there hard work! Any thing at all would be greatly appreciated.
