My dad: Carjacked, shot, life altering Injury’s

On September 12 a police officer was fatally shot inside a Tim Hortons at Argentia Road, Mississauga. Later, three men were shot at a Milton auto body shop, with only one survivor. The shootings were execution style.

In the middle of this rampage, there was another victim, my father Graham Hall, a well-loved friend to many and a very devoted family man. Like the other men that day, My dad was Just getting on with his day, unaware he’d soon be in the news as an unnamed victim with “life altering injuries.”

Across the street from Tim Hortons, My dad had been pulled from his Jeep, shot, and left to bleed out on the asphalt by the shooter. Thanks to a fast-acting civilian and two amazing first responders, My dad was rushed to hospital for a long surgery to repair extensive internal damage. My dad is now in critical care, with a bullet still lodged at his spine and my mom barely leaving his side.

My dad won’t be coming home soon. As he recovers from the surgery, he’s looking at months of full-time rehabilitation with hopes of overcoming nerve damage and regaining the ability to walk, to work again.
