Sponsored walk for my cousin who has been diagnosed with MND
Donation protected
My gorgeous cousin Hannah Woodhead, mother of 5 beautiful children, a wife, a sister was diagnosed with MND last year.
At just 40 years old this awful autoimmune disease that has stolen Hannah’s independence. She has always been a hard working woman. She was self employed and made the most amazing cakes at ‘oh for goodness cake’ and more recently a bus driver. Unfortunately due to motor neurone disease (MND) she has had to give up her very loved job as a bus driver.
Motor neurone disease (MND) is an awful life changing disease. Motor neurone disease happens when cells in the brain and nerves, called motor neurones, gradually stop working. MND can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breath. MND is life-shortening and there is no cure. Although the disease will progress, symptoms can be managed to help achieve the best possible quality of life. Hannah has been told she has 1-4 years left.
Me, my daughters; Star age 6 and Lily-Minnie age 9 and my dad would like to raise some money for Hannah to make life a little easier. We will be walking Ullswater in May. This is a 22 mile walk, we will be walking half of it, camping out then walking the other half the next day. My youngest daughter will only be walking the first half, 11 miles.
This money is to go towards anything Hannah needs herself or something to help her family at this extremely difficult time.
Anything is appreciated.
