Please help Ken keep his house and pay hospital

Hi, my name is Bev and I’m writing this to help my brother, Ken. I never thought I’d have to even consider doing this for my big brother, who I’ve looked up to since childhood. Ken was always my go to person, whether it was homework, guitar (we grew up in the 60’s and 70’s!) or bad jokes. There are four of us siblings, two boys and two girls. We lost our parents at the early ages of 57 and 65, so it made our bond even closer. My oldest brother is fighting Parkinson’s, my sister is in remission from stage four lung cancer, which brings us to Ken. Ken has had a catastrophic year health wise, losing his job due to countless sick days from hip disintegration , Crohn’s complications, beginning with an emergency visit to the hospital for an attack related to his ongoing Crohn’s Disease. He had a fissure in his stomach break through to his small intestine, and after several surgeries, many phone calls not knowing if he was going to pull through, and four months in the hospital, he was sent home with a pic line, ongoing infection, and no longer able to have hip replacement surgery because of the nagging infection. Several more months later, the infection finally cleared enough for the surgery! He had it last week, and is now able to walk without his cane for the first time in years! But now for the sad part- Ken has gotten notice that his mortgage is now $5,000 behind and ready for foreclosure, the electric company wants $1,000 or they will shut off his power, he has borrowed all he can from family, and is now facing $20,000 in medical bills. His career had been as a research scientist, working off of grants, and it is very unstable as to whether the grants are approved or not, so he has never had company insurance. He is now eligible for Medicare, but that does nothing for the past bills. If you could find it in your hearts to help him out, I would be forever grateful! Bless you all! Bev
