My Brother Barry Blewitt .. life sucks at times
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Margaret and I'm fund-raising for my younger brother Barry and his amazing wife Cheryl. Life certainly has been unfair to this loving couple. They have had their fair share of ups and downs over the years, and at the moment both have serious medical problems.
Barry was diagnosed with dementia several years ago. He has continued with his cheerful personality, and is a delight to be around, and even if we've heard his jokes we still manage to laugh again. His love of his wife Cheryl and adorable daughter Caitlin and of life and those around him is very obvious.
A few weeks ago wife Cheryl was devastated to learn that she must undergo surgery to amputate her lower leg, this is scheduled for 9th June, next week.
This week, on a routine check at Austin Hospital Barry was admitted and a small investigative surgery advised he is ALSO going to face amputation of his right foot.
This is an extremely overwhelming and traumatising time for them.
I want to do this GO Fund Me for them to help them through this dreadful time and show that we care.
It's costing Cheryl $60 per day to park at the Austin, that adds up up to quite a lot, when you have other living expenses, rent, food, power and on a pension that's a fair bite of it.
UPDATE. Today Saturday Barry had a serious setback, a further heart attack, he has fluid on lungs, an infection and his BP was 200.
We need to hope and pray he comes through this.
Please family and friends Barry and Cheryl would be the first to help out if this GoFundMe was for a friend or family member of theirs.
WE ALL LOVE YOU BARRY, CHERYL AND CAITLIN.
