Hi, my name is Heather and I'm raising money for my Mom to get a BrailleSense 6 Note Taker. My Mom was born blind but my Grandmother raised her to never depend on other people just because she couldn't see. My Mom is a remarkable woman who raised her children while my Dad worked, cooks, bakes and taught me how to truly see peoples inner beauty. She has battled breast cancer and a few years ago was diagnosed with diabetes. My parents live month to month on a very tight budget since they only receive my Dad's teachers retirement so when my Mom saw this product called BrailleSense 6 she was so excited since it has everything from Word Processor, email, and she can monitor her readings for her diabetes. I was heartbroken when she told me the price and how they would never be able to afford it. I got on the website of the company that sells it and other products for the blind and read all about this product. It is a compact device with a braille reader along the bottom so anything that my Mom would read or use, it comes through as braille for her. Once I watched the tutorial, I was blown away with all the features that would help my Mom daily. Anyone who wants to see for yourself, the website is HIMS Inc. I decided to start a Go Fund Me Page because I know my Mom wouldn't, she would never ask for money towards anything even if it's beneficial for her so I, her daughter will ask for any help towards this because my Mom deserves this, can benefit from having it in so many ways and I want to help her in anyway possible.
