It’s my birthday — and this year, I’m asking for something special.
Instead of gifts, I invite you to join me in supporting the National Peace Corps Association (NPCA), the largest network of Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) dedicated to promoting, supporting, and advancing the Peace Corps and its mission of world peace and friendship.
From 2001–2005, I served in the Peace Corps in Bangladesh and Mongolia. I shared cultures with the communities that welcomed me, learned new languages, became a teacher, and built lifelong connections. Later, I continued working for the Peace Corps for nine years as a staffer in Washington, D.C. and Mongolia.
Today, I serve on the NPCA Board of Directors, helping ensure volunteers are supported when they return home, advocating for a strong and fully funded Peace Corps, and strengthening the affiliate groups that bring RPCVs together across the U.S. and around the world.

If you’re able, please donate today in honor of my birthday and help support the Peace Corps community, its mission, and the more than 240,000 Returned Peace Corps Volunteers who continue to make a difference at home and abroad.
NPCA’s commitment to peace, friendship, and service resonates deeply with me — and I believe that together, we can make a real impact.
Let’s celebrate my birthday by giving the gift of service. Every dollar counts, and every contribution helps carry forward the spirit of the Peace Corps.
Thank you for your generosity and kindness.
